What?! Puppets for lunch! Your family can’t eat the puppets! No, of course not, so pack a picnic lunch and grab your kiddo's favorite blanket for a fun-filled afternoon of puppetry and creativity at the courtyard behind Springfield Township Arts Center. Gather on the courtyard stage behind the arts center for an entertaining lunchtime performance, then stick around for a make-it-take-it craft and enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the park. The featured show, "Fantastic Fairytales: Red, Green and Gold" by Madcap Puppets, follows royal jesters Flick and Flack as they discover a plot by the wizard Glistor to turn the king into a mouse. To buy time and save the kingdom, the duo shares three hilarious new takes on beloved fairy tales: "Little Red Riding Hood," "The Frog Prince" and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." Join the fun as the adventure unfolds in this imaginative puppet performance. Registration is not needed for this event. A suggested $2 donation can be made at the ArtsConnect tent during the event.
