About this event

Where does AI fit into your Academic Voice? AI offers both promise and risk in your course work. During this session, students will explore concrete examples, learn where to find governance resources and training, and practice effective prompting strategies that use AI as a coach rather than a ghostwriter—so they can enhance learning, stay within UC’s academic integrity expectations and, most importantly, keep their own academic voice at the center of their work. We will also demonstrate the platforms (BearcatGPT and Microsoft Co-pilot) available to all student, faculty, and staff. We will share misuse/misconduct policies, recommended guidelines, and practices around responsible, trustworthy AI. We will also share proper APA Format Citations for AI, how to exports your chat log, and finally the human in the loop remediation. This seminar situates students within UC’s Bearcats AI Ready! initiative—UC’s effort to move from “AI‑fluent” to truly “AI‑ready”—by connecting big‑picture institutional work to the everyday realities of using AI in coursework.
