Join the Brewing Heritage Trail for a two-and-a-half indoor tour, uncovering the rich history of brewing and distilling while savoring beverage samples and exploring a 19th-century underground lagering cellar. The journey begins at Northern Row Brewery and Distillery, where you'll witness their distilling process up close and sample their spirits. Next, explore the lagering cellar of the historic Jackson Brewery, navigating through underground passages where beer has been cold-stored since the 1850s. Afterward, visit Rhinegeist Brewery, housed in a pre-Prohibition brewing structure, for a behind-the-scenes tour of their modern and historic facility (stairs are required for part of the tour). Cap off your experience with a flight of their finest beverages. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to experience historic and modern brewing and distilling, exclusively offered by the Brewing Heritage Trail! Please Note: This tour is primarily indoors, with a short walk of about one block between each location. The underground cellar you visit was excavated from a hillside, so no stairs are required to enter or exit. The tour includes a flight of beers from Rhinegeist and three spirit samples at Northern Row, or you can opt for a pint of their beer. For guests not drinking alcohol, a soft drink at each location will be provided. Brewing Heritage Trail recommends you buy your tickets in advance, as any tour without tickets sold 24 hours before the start time will be closed to inform the tour guides and taproom partners.
