About this event

The 39th Annual Cincinnati Juneteenth Festival is a free two-day event that celebrates the emancipation of American slavery. The festival begins with its traditional parade of flags representing the African diaspora — the dispersion of Africans from their original homeland during the slave trade. Once the parade ends, stay to enjoy fun, family-friendly activities such as horseback riding, education pavilions, historical reenactments and more. The Juneteenth Festival will also offer food, art displays, merchandise vendors and performances from two stages. Watch in amazement as African and Caribbean dancers, drum lines, the Voices of Freedom poets and other multicultural acts grace the stage, delivering an enticing show. The second stage will feature live musical performances by local artists. On day two of the Cincinnati Juneteenth Festival, bring the patriarch of your family to Eden Park's Seasongood Pavilion for the Juneteenth Father's Day Concert! Spend Sunday afternoon watching liturgical dancers and listening to inspirational music from outstanding choirs and musical groups. Don't miss this spectacular festival that showcases the beauty and history of Black culture! Mark your calendars for the 39th Annual Cincinnati Juneteenth Festival today! Saturday, June 20: 12-9 p.m.; Sunday, June 21: 2:30-6 p.m.
